Porter's Birthday Bash

We celebrated Porter's first birthday Saturday. (He turns one for real on Thursday.)  We went out to lunch, then came home and partied!  You know, as much as a one- and two-year-old can. Porter had a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure his favorite part was eating his cake.  He was very polite with it at first, but by the end he was ripping into it.  Corbin helped him open his presents...(he basically did it for him).  He got some pretty cool stuff.

I cannot believe our baby is already one.  Seriously, the time is just ZOOMING by! It seems like yesterday we were rushing to the hospital wondering if we were going to have a baby in our new car.  I remember driving home from Jordan and Amy's wedding and Matt telling me he felt like we needed to have another baby.  I looked at him as if he was NUTS.  I was convinced we had our hands full and I couldn't imagine having another baby for quite some time.  But, I knew the second we began praying about it that it was right and needed to happen fast.  We got pregnant within a few weeks.  Now, I am so happy that Porter joined our family.  And can't imagine life without him.

 

 Porter is the happiest, most content little man ever.  He is curious as can be, and is usually smiling and laughing about something.   Some things about Porter at 1 year...

• He can clap
• Give Kisses
• Walk
• Say Hi
• Give THE BEST snuggles before nap/bedtime.
• Wave
• He LOVES to dance.

Porter is also completely weaned.  HOORAY!! He finally took a liking to a bottle and he hasn't looked back!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY PORTER BEAR!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
