We put up our Christmas tree last night. This morning we don't have a single ornament left on it. Porter had his way with it. Little bugger.
Corbin has had the flu. Sunday we got up, got ready for church, went, and sat down in sacrament meeting. Corbin immediately exploded. We promptly cleaned it up, got up, and left. So much for some spirit enlightenment. He still can't hold anything down....He keeps begging for ice. I am a sucker when he is sick. He said "Mommy maybe if I lay in my bed and watch spider man it will make my tummy feel better." I just hauled the TV in his room. He is tucked in watching spider man. I hate it when my kids are sick. He is the only sick one so far....keep your fingers crossed
Porter doesn't really talk much. Outside of momma and dadda we get an occasional hi, and bye. About a week ago he started saying cheese....Not as in the food cheese. As in smile and say cheese for the camera, cheese. Yesterday I had to take a lens in to get some repairs done. He saw me get it out of the camera bag and immediately started yelling cheese. Also last night we were putting the tree up and we got the cam-corder out. He looked right into it and yelled cheese. It is so funny. He also likes to hold blocks up to his nose (I'm thinking he thinks they look like a camera.) and yell cheese. He is silly.
Corbin recently informed me that Santa is going to bring him a tractor and football for Christmas. And a tricycle for his birthday. I tried to explain to him that Santa doesn't come on his birthday, just Christmas. He followed it up by telling me he will bring him an orange cake with purple ice cream... Anybody know how to make purple ice cream?
A few Saturdays ago I was bored....really bored. Matt was studying or talking on the phone. I can't remember. And the kids were entertaining themselves (Which by the way NEVER happens.) The stars were aligned. So, I decided to highlight my hair. I had some bleach and foils in my pantry, so I locked myself in the bathroom and came out with blonde hair. And arms that felt like jell-o. I had to do a few touch ups but, Im pretty happy with the way it turned out. I haven't highlighted my hair in so long, I forgot how quickly it grows and how much upkeep there is. I'm pretty sure it won't last long...No worries I have two boxes of dark brown color in my pantry just waiting for me. (or I should say waiting for you Aryn:)
This is our little tree that the boys have already destroyed. Small, but still does the job. Oh, and don't make fun of our "mantle" We do what we can:)
